Support for Parents & Caregivers

From simple advice to reporting, planning, diagnosis, or even help with the funding process. Xpact can offer support for parents and caregivers in many ways.

A Calmer way to support your child

When your child is anxious, overwhelmed, avoiding school, or simply finding the world “too much”, it can feel like everything falls on you; the worry, the meetings, the decisions, the paperwork.

Xpact offers one-to-one online programmes that support young people through the games and interests they already enjoy. Sessions are low-pressure, child-led, and professionally guided, helping your child feel safe enough to build confidence, emotional resilience, social skills, and (where appropriate) learning habits.

We aim to bring clarity and reassurance, without adding more pressure to your week.

Built by people who get it

Xpact was created by a parent of children with autism, and a healthcare professional. So we understand two sides of the same reality:

  • what it’s like at home, day after day

  • what good, ethical support should look like in practice

That perspective shapes everything we do; calm, respectful, consistent support that’s designed around real children and real family life.

Why gaming can be a brilliant bridge

For many young people, face-to-face support feels intense. Gaming offers a familiar space where connection can happen more naturally.

Because the focus is shared (the game), children often find it easier to:

  • communicate without feeling “on the spot”

  • take social first-steps without eye contact pressure

  • stay regulated while they build trust

  • practise real-world skills through real moments

This isn’t a games club. It’s structured support that simply starts in a place your child already feels comfortable.

What makes Xpact different

Child-led, low-demand support

We follow your child’s pace and interests so growth feels safe, not forced.

One-to-one consistency

A consistent mentor/tutor allows trust to build and support to stay responsive.

Designed for inclusion

Gaming can reduce the impact of social, verbal, or processing differences, which can make connection easier.

Purposeful, not random

We’re always noticing, guiding, and encouraging skills that matter outside the screen too.

Games We Support

We work with familiar titles such as Minecraft®, Roblox®, Fortnite® and Chess; or tell us your child’s favourites. We use their interests as the bridge to confidence, connection, and progress.
